I wonder why nobody ever put a crossflow fan on a GPU. A long rotary fan on top of the heat sink would seem like a good design. As wide as these cards are, they could build air conditioning in there 😂

I just bought a 2TB Samsung 990 EVO from Amazon for about $137, to go in my laptop computer. It runs great. It replaced a 1TB Samsung 990 Pro, and their Crystal Diskmark benchmark scores are about the same. The 990 EVO tends to run a little hot with large sequential writes, so I got a flat copper heatsink that is held on with little rubber bands, so it fits inside the laptop. With the heat sink, the 990 EVO stayed at around 60 C during a large sequential write operation and in the 40-50 range during normal operations. Overall, I'm very happy with this SSD as a high end gen 4 drive.

There's 4TB versions of it now as well, which is what I'm probably going to buy. Seems like it will work great for most games.

I am having an issue that the Microphone has a loud pop both using the front panel and the rear mic-in input on ASUS Z790 Dark Hero. Is anyone else having the same issue with this board?

A better comparison would be the mini-LED I think. I've seen at least one ASUS large-sized monitor with mini-LED that just looks great in HDR compared to a QD-OLED.

I ordered a Corsair Plattofrm 6 Creator Edition. The package with the multi frame, which costs over 300 euros, has been missing for 12 days. No one from Corsair can tell me when I will get my package, but they can charge almost 2k euros from my account in advance, that's what Corsair can do. I think the table and the poor delivery service from Corsair via UPS is worth a maximum of 1,000 euros and not 2,000 euros.

Would streaming/recording on this monitor be too difficult? Maintaining 60 fps etc

If this is the one with the built in liquid cooler DO NOT BUY IT. AIO need to be maintained or replaced every few years so unless you are going to get rid of a 4090 laptop after just a few year this is an insanely bad idea.

I don't think this comparison makes any sense, is that VA monitor miniled? I have the G7 and after trying one of the first oleds I stayed with the VA miniled panel, I haven't tried the 3rd gen oleds though.

I dont see a reason to get any cards with dual bios when you have software available to make custom fan curves yourself. Just seems lazy IMO. I have a PNY RTX 4080 Verto standard model and with a slight undervolt and custom fan curve, Starfield runs smooth at 55c.

Curved 240 Hz 38" 21:9 3840x1600 in VA form with Samsung reaction time would be endgame for me, I have the 32" G7 but want the wide screen experience without going pricey and demanding of the ultrawide G9, this would be great middle ground, pixel density not as high as a 4K 32" monitor but much better than my G7, currently there are only IPS and 170 Hz refresh rate with these specs unfortunately.

Would be curious how a va panel with full array local dimming would fair. I'm using an ROG PG35v (VA with full array local dimming), and the 1000 nitt peak, with 500nit sustained is very good next to a window.

My ASUS TUP Z790 Plus-Wi-Fi has been a great board for the two builds I use on the regular. I got them both open box(unused, just damaged boxes)for 90 ea plus tax on Amazon.

I am working 4 days a week in my Homeoffice. So as long as OLED has this burn in problem, it will never be an option. Even if it is solved 98%, it still exists
